About Me

Hi, I’m Jake, I’m in my 30’s and I’m a certified hypnotherapist, EMDR practitioner and anxiety specialist dedicated to helping people create positive, lasting change in their lives. Helping people with their mental health has become a real passion of mine, and something that brings me meaning and purpose.

In our sessions, we’ll work together using effective techniques to address the problems you may be facing. My approach is client-centred and I tailor each session to your unique and specific needs, catering to you in the best way that I can. Through the power of your subconscious mind, we’ll tap into your inner resources and create lasting and permanent change.

In my sessions, I incorporate a combination of different hypnotherapy techniques, including regression therapy, parts therapy, Gestalt therapy, EMDR and other techniques to help to create positive changes in whatever area you are struggling with. In this space, we work together to uncover the root causes of your challenges and allow your subconscious mind to make changes that will allow you to live your best life.

I am committed to giving you a warm, compassionate environment where you can feel comfortable and confident to explore whatever may be troubling you. Together, we will work at your pace and I will tailor the sessions to meet your specific goals and needs.

I believe that every person has the potential to unlock their best self, and I am here to support you on that journey. If you're ready to make a positive change in your life, I’d love to talk with you and I can help.

My personal journey

Throughout much of my life, I have struggled with mental health issues. As a child, I did not understand the feelings I was feeling, and thought that everyone around me must be feeling the same way. At 17 years of age, my struggles with mental health got bad enough that I had to abandon my studies and ‘opt out’ of life until I could find my feet again. After a few years, I did find my feet again and proceeded with my education and got the grades that would send me off to University in Leeds. Again, throughout university I had mental health challenges that eventually led me to the psychiatrist’s office. After being treated by the psychiatrist, I began to feel better, although I would continue to have ups and downs.

Over the years, I tried many different things to help my mental health, including supplements, exercise, yoga, support groups and I accessed both private and NHS mental health services - doing conventional counselling and talking therapies. I felt some benefit from these but I became frustrated that I couldn’t seem to find lasting or permanent change. So, through a word of mouth recommendation from a friend to try hypnotherapy, I thought “what have I got to lose?”. After my first session of hypnotherapy, I felt a sense of inner peace and resolution that I hadn’t felt before. As I continued to go for more sessions of both hypnotherapy and EMDR, my mental health kept improving in a quite dramatic way. My interest in becoming a hypnotherapist myself was then born and I decided to start my own practice, helping people in the same way that I was helped.

To put it simply, hypnotherapy and EMDR removed the road blocks in my mind, allowing a positive flow of energy to emerge. I’d love to have the opportunity to help you in the same way I was helped.
